I'm Corinthea Harris, and I'm an Ocean City, N.J. native. Senior at Rowan University with a double major in both public relations and advertising with a journalism minor. Pit stop for associate degree in Communication/Liberal Arts from Atlantic Cape Community College. I'm a strategic communications, coffee and Philadelphia sports addict. Oh and, I'm obsessed with dream catchers and anchors.

Monitored social media compliled daily clips regarding the Sixers. Researched and wrote news releases, media advisories, media lists, PR plans, key messages and talking points, publicity stunts and transcribed notes from news conferences. Assisted with media check-in, planning and execution for various events and preparation for NBA season.

EXPERIENCE​​

Provided project support for account executives and their clients (such as Wawa, FreshDirect and the Free Library of Philadelphia) from idea phase, brainstorm session to campaign evaluation. Assisted in researching, writing and editing for pitches, news releases, media alerts and annual reports. Maintained and published content to Braithwaite’s Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and blog pages.

Researched and wrote media materials for the corporate communications team including: fact sheets, biographies, store grand opening descriptions, product descriptions and Facebook content for BRU’s Private Brands launch, as well as write-ups for the daily, weekly and annual reports to prove communication value to TRU executives. Promoted new BRU Private Brands products on Facebook — which garnered more than 1,400 likes.

Assist in community building, troubleshooting and being a resource for 78 residents. Plan and execute 7 program events per semester — including creating advertisements and social strategy. Demonstrate excellent customer relations, relationship management and public relations skills. Manage and update 4 bulletin boards on a monthly basis. Complete at least 6 office hours and duty shifts per.

Organize meetings: secure space, speakers and topics. Increased attendance rate by 45 percent through attractive events. Plan and execute award ceremonies (Induction Luncheon and Spring Gala) for approximately 100 guests — including picking themes and creating invitations, programs and other event-related materials. Coordinate mixers, socials and other chapter-related events for approximately 100 people. Manage committee.
